Car wash, boutique, document processing....all businesses that has high failure rate and has no unique features or customer pull factors that would give them a secure market niche.

Things are tight financially, few or no jobs for the low skilled and for many skilled  so many are setting up things to make some money. People coming around the village selling plantain chips. Bread, provision, etc. more plant shops. We used to have one crush ice guy now we have three coming around the village, grass cutters, people walking around the village looking for any manual job they can get.  Potting soil selling, beggars, asking for coconuts of from  your coconut tree, lots of roadside stands and more pavement sellers, more pastry shops and cook stands. People trying to survive!

Good for them, at least they are making an effort.

Car Wash Business: ... is popping up in every village/ street and  has now become a pain in the arss

Guys/ gals purchase or gift a power washer and opened a wash business.

The nuisances.

1. Big bom boxes, disturbing the peaceful neighbourhood.

2. Block traffic. Vehicle are washed on the streets in some cases.

3. The flow of water is damaging the streets

4. Guys/ gal in group chatting and smoking drugs

5. The owners have a ice box selling beers .. another side business to the car wash while their customer wait.

Businesses need to be regularized and monitor in Guyana, it’s getting out of hand.

Now if I had said this, the sloppy boys would deem me as racist. The blind leading the blind here. Just like when granger told the people that they should sell plantain chips and come of you claim that you can make millions doing so.
