The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) on Monday said it was making efforts to repair a vital piece of equipment that is affecting the power company from using all the electricity being supplied by the Kingston power plant.

So how is it political mileage to be made here by stating the truth of the matter BG_S?

Is it that you guys are finally recognising it as a symptom of the overwhelming mediocrity and mal-administration displayed yet again in this failure?

Turning a problem at a power company into a political issue is a sign of desperation. Govt don't run power companies, they govern. It is up to the experts at the power company to resolve those issues. Power stations have issues all over the world periodically, why try to use this incident to further your 2 seat party's agenda?

Though they may not be directly responsible, if proven that weak management, weak proceses, laxed atitudes to good governance, etc, then the CEO and his team would pay the price.

How is management responsible for a manufacturer's defect? hahahahha Did they not hire the right ground crew to maintain the electrical system. Tell us exactly how management is to blame for this specific malfunction and how in your infinite wisdom it could have been avoided? hahahhahaha.

No if Guyana Stores is sloppy thats not the govt's problem. If electricity is then it is as THEY OWN IT.
