Gov’t moves to court to block No-Confidence motion

The country’s Attorney General Basil Williams says the Government is prepared to take its case all the way to the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) after Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Barton Scotland refused to reverse a vote of No-Confidence passed against the APNU+AFC Government in the National Assembly on December 21, 2018.

Immediately, the Government is filing proceedings in the High Court to:

1) Stay the No-Confidence Motion on the grounds that 34 votes are needed to pass the motion by ‘majority’

2) To deem the vote by Charrnadass Persaud invalid given his dual citizenship

It is not the courts jurisdiction to overturn a vote concluded in Parliament. The PNC is proud of their outstanding record for the last three years.  They should follow the requirements of the constitution and hold elections within 90 days and win fairly and squarely based on their record.

They are afraid of elections because they know they cannot win a majority.  The two attack dogs of the gov't. KR and MN, are heading for the dog pound. They can bark as much they as want. The end of their power and privileges  are near.

Excellent observation. Congress Place will NEVER forgive Moses and will soon bring out the knives and forks. It will be nasty. Hinds recently hinted at this, he has a  Pitch Fork ready for Moses.
