This election is about removing a ruthless and criminal cabal from office

DEAR EDITOR,
Perception is what has Guyana in a state of disrepair from 1992 to date. Guyanese in general like to accept as gospel any rumours; be it half-truth or just plain lies.
The PNC through the years looked the other way, and allowed the PPP to propagandize against all of its achievements from 1964 to 1992 in pursuing a unified Guyana, and at the end of the day, that Party has been demoralized by the perception that it is racist and has done untold damage to the PPP, its constituents (who are predominantly East Indians) and ultimately Guyana. Still we have not learnt!
The PPP is using the world wide web to its advantage, with pages and blogs on Facebook (New Guy Media, Guyana Message Board, Guyanese living worldwide, Guyana Reliable Sources, etc.) sharing the same old lies; not in defence of their 23 years in office, but the continued vilification of the PNC with very little rebuttals.
We just can’t keep doing the same things and expect different results. Someone reminded me that the more vilification is left unresponded, the more it takes on a life of its own and people begin to believe it.
In addition, Hitler also noted, “by the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.”
The PPP has done exactly that to its surrogates and die hard constituents; made an “extremely wretched life” for the masses in Guyana seems as “Paradise!” And they are willing to defend it, regardless of the consequences. Every single one of them has been programmed to say the same things.
Now that the elections are less than a month away, the PPP propaganda machine has become increasingly ridiculous; even APNU+AFC Presidential candidate Brigadier Granger pictured praying is a talking point of ridiculous drivel. The PPP’s modus operandi is to survive, no matter what they have to say or do. We just cannot let these people rule Guyana any longer. We must fight back with the truth.
This election is not about the PNC. This election is about a 23-year-old government that is corrupt to the core. This election is about a government that marginalized several communities which support the opposition. This election is about bringing back some degree of hope for the Guyanese masses. More importantly, this election is about removing a ruthless and criminal cabal from office before many more have to suffer, or die without just cause.
Finally, the voters must understand that there will be no “paradise” for them if the PPP is not removed from office. Everyone must be educated on the importance and urgency of voter turnout on Election Day. Voter turnout must exceed any time in the past. We must win this one for Guyana, we must take back Guyana, and as JFK pointed out, “things do not happen, things are made to happen.”
Suffice to say, let us make it happen on May 11th 2015.

PPP is desperate. Their days are numbered.

They are barefaced and have no shame.  They thief and say that's progress.

If you ask questions and ask for accountability, you are against progress, according to PPP propaganda machinery.
