The PPP even pushed through a law that prevents boats from ferrying goods across the river at that location. That is actually an illegal act under international trading rules. It's called unfair competition. It's also an attack on the human rights of boat owners wishing to make an honest living to feed their family. Notice how piracy has sky rocketed in Berbice since the PPP passed laws that favours the bridge.
