They probably know the outcome but cannot declare until all documents have been properly signed and verified as legal.

Patience is important right now.

Results should be available for Regions 1-6 and most of 10, given the concentration of the bulk of the population.

Region 9 is quite remote and yet almost all of the boxes counted and verified?

Guyana has the most volatile elections in the English speaking Caribbean, now even surpassing Jamaica in the tension.  Why after so many years has GECOM not figured out this process.

I honestly think they know the outcome, but they have to be prudent and beyond reproach - get all docs properly signed and legally verified before officially declaring.

People have waited over three yrs for this elections, I think another day while painful is OK - err on the side of caution. I agree.

The GECOM news conference  that started late and gets disconnected often, is not conclusive about anything.

They show some poll results on overhead slides that is difficult to read and said there will be more results to come.

It might take another 24 hours to get the final result.

Reporters seems frustrated and the whole darn thing seems disorganized.

GECOM displays well how things are run in Guyana. It seems like a lost cause.

GECOM should get GNI to do their elections.
