Guyana never had any tourism sector to speak of. It had Guyanese returning for family visit and because they had some cash they explored their native land. If some are disillusioned that their kind is not in office that is their business. Real tourism needs more than is there and hopefully some good sense will prevail to truly build one since 23 years of PPP neglect or incapacity to do so has to be overcome.

It will be of interest to know what the PNC has done in the years - 1964 to 1992 - in the tourism sector.
