As a kind reminder to my fellow posters who are good sons and daughters of Guyana, and are optimistic of your country's future, I sincerely urge you to stay away from traitors whose only aim is to bring down a working government for their own personal power. APNU & AFC have demonstrated to us what they really stand for and that my friend is something to take seriously. Their constant babbling is making me sick. If I have to waste my time I would rather waste it on something constructive. The people of Guyana deserve better than these pricks who stand as a hindrance to our prosperity. We're approaching the holiday weekend in the United Stated, and we should all focus on the positive direction of our homeland. God bless Guyana!

Now I finally understand why former President Jagdeo was cussing these bastards.
They deserved the CUSS DOWN. Gharam Chor Ka Badmash!!!!!
The greatest traitors are those who squandered the monies of the people on a flawed sugar factory and Fip's road.
Hold on to that thought till thy kingdom comes. Have faith, the AFC will fix everything one day.

If given a chance I have no doubt the AFC can fix those things and do better.

Without a doubt, you're confident of that? Then you're a liar! Guyana politics spans many decades with good and bad leadership and still there are daunting issues facing the people. Can you look me into my eyes and tell me that? You people are so hypocritical.

I do not see the need to look you in the eye nor do I have the motivation to do that. Without a doubt the AFC would do better. How can people who malign education and reading possibly run a country for the good of all?

Well said. We must be on guard against those bent on destroying Guyana. Be vigilant and strong.

You are not authoritative to declare who are traitors or not. You may assume that authority being grasping by nature and convinced you are of immaculate perception but don't let your delusions get ahead of you.
One is not optimistic with the corruptocrats in office. To be at ease one needs stringent institutional barriers between your perfidious hands and the nation's assets.
You are also not of any moral character to declare who are worthy of office or not. At least one half of the nation has agreed that they indeed have the wherewithal to do so. As Guyanese, that is their right however much you may not like it.
The best thing that ever happened to our nation since its founding happened on November 28th last year. A majority of the people decided they prefer a government other than the PPP.
A dictatorial constitutional bulwark crafted by a couple of crooks is all that stood between the PPP and the boot that would have kicked them from office. On that account they are lucky and should thank their lucky stars. A whole lot of these parasites would at this time be gracing our jails.
Democracy gives us the right to speak freely and opposed our government when it is called to do so. Guyana is not the best or worst country in the world and people opined differently about its current state of affairs. But when people speak negatively on every given opportunity, they simply are not speaking from a realistic point of view. Their main objective is to damage the credibility of a legitimate government and hope to ceased all slated programs and development from moving forward or to kill it altogether. This is a dangerous phase Guyana is experiencing from home made criminals.
These are not traitors, but domestic terrorists that are holding Guyana at ransom. They have no mercy for the government and neither the people who voted for them. They have a self fulfilling agenda. We must remember what make them so powerful and what we must do to get rig of them. The answer is....one seat (combined) majority. My prediction is that these two oppositions have to work like batty and poke throughout the five year term and hope not to get into any dispute that will ever put against each other. That will be the day!

Oh...beautiful prose. You right truth and indeed a great writer.

Democracy is more than about speaking. It is abour the effecacy of political voice. The PPP in office has assumed they are beyond reproach. In their 20 years they never consider they were in a democracy but acted as if they were autocrats. Well that has come to an end and for what it is worth they must concede they are in a minority position. Were it not for a constitutional impediment that is clearly anti democratic, they would be warming the opposition benches.
The opposition have every right to have their views heard. As a majority the also have the democratic authority to supplant anything the PPP does that did not seek their consultation. They are also obliged to explain how they spend the nation's money down to the last dollar they paid for a roll of toilet paper. That is democracy at work.
They had complete autocratic authority. They now will have to learn to work within the auspices of this new arrangement. If they took to autocracy like duck to water; they will be dragged squealing to an understanding that they must now explain themselves in every way. That they are not used to it is not our concern. We got used to them as autocrats. They need to get used to being accountable. Actually, this is more the way democracy is supposed to work.

You are indeed a brilliant writer. Actually not many people have that command of language. The structure of your writing style is way up there with Robert Heilbroner and John Kenneth Galbraith.
....and Cain.
Folks, the AFC scavengers are out today. Don't pay them any mind.
Stornborm is already spamming the board with nonsense. Let the Bray!
Churchill a Nemakaram traitor of the highest order?. He join with Granger?
Well said my brother! They're all being baptized by the Satan.
What I like about the Chief is that he is direct with his Nemakaram traitorship. He tells the board directly his Nemakaram traitor talk against the party. He does not hide anything back so we know where he stands.

At this point in time, what Guyana needs is a more accountable PPP, not the PNC.
Only if the critics can give the president a chance to prove himself. The oppositions have to unleash him from Jagdeo. We can both agree that he showed maturity and confident in his position. President Ramotar is a fine leader and a gentleman in so far. Guyana needs a person with his astuteness to take command.

I agree, BJ did have his time, his successes and his failures. Ramotar should be allowed to do things his way and chart a path of his vision. If BJ takes a step back even he may learn a thing or two.

It is not the opposition which holds back Guyana. How can the opposition divorce him from Jagdeo?

I cannot abide with the above statement. It is preposterous and represents what is the foundation of the insidious and persistent methodology for rationalization of our problem on race. You may not think that is what you just did and that is why it is insidious.
By knee jerk reaction you reduce our problem to the rehabilitatatable PPP and the unrehabilitatable PNC ( reasons why not necessary) If only the PPP gets another chance at a do over then all will be right with the world. That will never be within the existing political cultural ethos.
This is their fourth term and they achieved a level of corrupt practices that makes the PNC amateurs at corruption. Add to that the disgust one should feel at them for unleashing all of this toxicity under the auspices of a democracy.
These are cultural relics of the communist era being as old communists are disposed to be. All of the states of the old soviet world that retained their communist personnel in hope of returning to democracy are failures
It is not about PPP va PNC or race. It is about a political culture that sees autocracies as their only methodology for rule and they will do anything that would keep faith with that premise. So ingrained is that reality for them, the PPP that is, that even if it means committing murder, engineering a debasement and disinformation campaign ( usiung state resources!) to nullify critics of the backward ideology; then that is what they will do and that is what they will continue to do.
Ramotar is as unfit as Granger (though the latter less so in my view for reason of being swept along with current of a corrupt regime vs the former for being an active participant in engineering corruption ). The PPP is just as unfit for rule as the PNC. No amount of do overs can make the PPP whole.
Something more has to be done to make us whole. We ought to be grateful we have a political stalemate at the moment and a means we have a chance to introduce new and different mimetic themes that can move society in drastically different ways from what is now clearly morally destitute and suffocatingly corrupt political culture.

President Ramotar is a fine leader and a gentleman in so far. Guyana needs a person with his astuteness to take command.
He is made of the mold as Jagdeo having been forged by the came cultural; crucible. On that account he has not removed any of the infrastructure of Jagdeo or his personnel.
He currently fights for the patronage system in ministries and ancillary agencies via their system of "contractors" obligated to them alone and insist they cannot work in a new reality where deliberation and information exchange must occur for it to function.
We know this new dispensation can work because minority governments are working in Scandinavian nations where the people there have the greatest faith that their society is the best. He has not fired one functionary from the old regime but is committed to drag the whole kit and kaboodle along with him in his regime.
His party has Guyana in a North Korea like power grip. The replacement of one leader with another in a cult of personality culture means nothing changes.
