An initiative between senior coaches Forbes Daniels and Nandkishore Andrews to stage a three-match U19 50 over tournament between New Opportunity Sports Club select XI and Wakenaam has gained the backing of Trophy Stall proprietor Ramesh Sunich. Sunich has sponsored the first and second place trophies for the competition which is set to start on Saturday at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground in Good Success. He urged the players to remain committed and wish the teams well, while Zaheer Mohamed who on Monday received the prizes on behalf of the coaches, expressed gratitude to Sunich for his support. The Wakenaam side includes Marlon Dindyal, Bhumeshwar Ramkissoon, Romario Stephen, Dicquan Clarke, Beesham Moses, Reon Venture, David Chalitar, Mahase Ramnarine, Devendra Seetaram, Quacy Whyte, Derwin Bacon, Sachin Dindyal and Matthew Chung.
