As the founders would have it, the nation is composed of competing factions so it balances out. Georgia, Az, New Mexico Nevada etc are neutralizing the disproportionate ability of these few states to shape the presidency.  America's electoral system worked as designed and the anomaly is not the system but the unfortunate product it delivered up this time. I would always define those who persistently follow that terrible human "deplorable". I know precisely why he won. He picked up states where Mrs Clinton neglect to visit having considered them a Democratic blue wall. He won by 75 K and garnered the necessary electoral college votes. And that is discounting the Russians hacking her email and Comey making his pronouncement that she "made mistakes" though not grievous ones so close to the elections. It may have caused her to lose many early voters and depress turn out. In any event, whomever the dems choose will not make the same mistake and now the Ogre has a record of living up to expectations. It would be a true miracle for him to pull the same inside straight. His vote ceiling has not improved.

Bai, NY and Cal cannot be removed. Those two states bankrolls the entire nation. 

The reality was that Hillary was probably a bad choice as many found it too easy to vote against her. Trump did work his ass off during that campaign. I remember that Hillary had Bon Jovi with her in PA that last night while Trump made two stops one to Michigan around 1:30 on the morning of election day. No one can argue that Trump did not work his ass off but it is not winning the elections that is of relevance now. The Republicans would like to moan and groan that it is because that they can manage. What they cannot defend is Trump's crookedness before, and after becoming President. He is going down and it is by his own doing. Public testimony begins next week and even Lindsey Graham will not have anywhere to hide so he doesn't have to encounter it. 

This coming from the biggest circus clown over the past three years.

Lots in this article highlight the amount of shit Trump is in and how the Congressional Republicans plan to stupidly prosecute their case. The crown will go that their head clown Nunes especially given his stupid shenanigans over the past three years and particularly while he was chairing the intelligence committee.

But Trump is about to shoot himself in his foot again. He said that he will be releasing an earlier phone call to Zelensky after Zelensky won the presidency in April. Given what we know of Trump, there would be something he said in that phone call that he will afterwards have to defend as he seems to have the habit of shooting himself. Then he will be forced to say that he doesn't know anything about that phone call just as he is constantly forced to say that he doesn't know all the people who eventually get fed up with his illegality and seek to separate themselves from him. It wouldn't be much longer that he will be forced to declare that even Melania is a never Trumper.
