Not even sworn in as president and he is busy working for all the people,Donald Trump and his team just made a deal to keep Carrier company in USA. Let's give credit when it's due.Perhaps, he may surprise the silent majority in doing good which he never promised. Let's see, he may even pick Romney as secretary of state. I can only wish he treats you Americans well and I mean the Guyanese Illegals.

Carrier will be promised more tax incentives. They should take away the defence contracts from them if they ship jobs out of the US for cheaper labor. Why cave in to these vultures.
And nice to see the Washington Post finally has something decent to say about someone other than Hillary. Little by little common sense will start to sink in.
"President-elect Donald Trump scored a victory Tuesday night when Carrier, an Indiana-based manufacturing company that had announced plans to move 1,400 jobs to Mexico, said it would keep 1,000 jobs in the state.
Trump and his vice president-elect, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, will travel to the state this week to celebrate the decision, a Trump transition official said. "We are pleased to have reached a deal with President-elect Trump & VP-elect Pence to keep close to 1,000 jobs in Indy," the company said in a Twitter post."

Hopefully we will get to know what were promised these rich people. It is about the bottom line so they will not stay and be at a disadvantage to competitors. I doubt leverage was made about denying defense contracts since those products are baked into projects and you simply do not terminate a supplier.

While I am with Trump to uphold the law of the land, I have mixed feelings about my Guyanese brothers and sisters living in the US illegally. One immigration lawyer told me that in Queens, NY alone there are 300,000 illegal immigrants. We are not quite sure what number of that is Guyanese, but it is upwards of 20,000. I fear for their return to a land that has nothing to offer them. But then again we need people to develop the homeland and those votes will make a difference in 2020.
You know Mario Cuomo bought a whole Nuclear Plant in Long Island for $1. What a deal!!! Ask Rifraff about it.

Exactly. This happens all the time in NY/NJ.
In fact there will be a net loss of 1,000 jobs. Will they give incentives to every company which outsources?
Maybe as the Trump Org will be next in line.
Congrats to Trump. And our gratitude for the 1400 families that will be so happy.

Oww Bibs, that will be great for the "Abee pun tap" they will be there forever.
Now that's what you call democracy.
Indiana is VP Mike Pence state, so it's a favor being done at all cost, just to look good at next election.Transparency, let the people know what was the deal.
I wonder how much tax money Trump gave away to save those jobs?
"So the president-elect is now in the middle of negotiations with the corporate giant in an effort to keep the jobs on U.S. soil. Heâs not the only lawmaker interested in halting Carrierâs plans: Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has also promised to take action. But the two men are considering very different strategies when it comes to halting the offshoring of American jobs, and Trump appears to be backing away from striking promises he made during the campaign.
Both Carrier and the Trump administration have confirmed that the two sides are in talks, and according to sources at the New York Times and Wall Street Journal, the negotiations are a two-way street, with both the company and administration officials discussing concessions. In order for Carrier to keep jobs in the U.S., the Trump administration has discussed relaxing business regulations and backing away from campaign pledges to impose tariffs on companies that move jobs abroad, according to the Times."
There is a situation around where I live where taxpayers are getting tax increases of between $350 and $800 so that developers can get a tax break for the next 15 years...
Seems Trump want to give all the rich fellas massive tax breaks
There is a thin line that separates the rich from the middle class, but only the rich sees that line.
