The Canadian economy is very tied to the US. You guys were lucky that you didn't endure the financial meltdown that impacted most developed nations, and then commodity prices spiked.

But as I see it your dollar has weakened, which means that your terms of trade are on shakier ground.  Canada doesn't have a huge economy like the USA, as you lack the population, so domestic consumption is less able to fully offset adverse terms of trade in goods and services.

And if you don't think that Canada will suffer if the USA turns inward and nativist you are naïve.   Your GDP is smaller than those of India, Italy, and Brazil.

I was in Florida more than a week ago and what I saw convinced me that Trump would be the winner.   I never knew Florida had so many white folks.  Pro- Trump stickers and posters were all over the place much more than those for Hillary.  Many white folks who work low paying jobs in this country are not happy at all.  They think a president has the power to change that.  I seriously doubt any administration can remedy the problem of low paying jobs given the fact the global economy has exerted so much pressure on businesses to be competitive and cost-effective.  This is where the Chinese comes in. To stop the fallout many manufacturing companies are facing in the U.S. they are forced by economic forces to close doors in places where they have operated for generations and re-locate to places like China and Vietnam.  

On the issue of terrorism, Trump challenged Hillary on many occasions to call a spade a spade, but Hillary diverted the question by charging that Trump is anti-Muslim and intolerant of people belonging to another religion.  With so much terror in Europe by ISIS the American people are more eager to have a leader who can put aside some of that political correctness and face the reality of Islamic terror coming from numerous Muslim nations.

 I thought the racketeering thing was over.   His buddy Christie has to be in court third week of November over the George Washington Bridge issue.  Two of his top aides got convicted this week.  You gotta love America!!

Trump got more Hispanic votes than Romney!  Under this, non-Mexican Hispanics don't like Mexicans for historical reasons.  When Trump attacked Mexicans, he won many non-Mexican Hispanics.
