yuji22, it seems like the PPP has confidence in the justice system, judging from Anil's practice of rushing to court ever so often these days. Now, based on the results of the forensic audits, charges are to be laid against suspects. I repeat: suspects. Those suspects, if they know in their hearts they're innocent, will have their day in court. The same court system that Anil believes in. If the suspects happen to be Indians, it's just that the PPP government had put them in charge of those money-handling positions. Personally, I will wait and see the court's verdicts. And remember: special prosecutors are not judges. Remember this too: Bharrat Jagdeo said let the chips fall where they may.

You are missing the big picture here...government can identify who they believe should be tried so that the public knows who these people are who stole money to enhance themselves. 

The problem with this is that the PPP will not just take it lying, more so if they think they may be guilty and are going to possibly face public himiliation or jail time. So we have a perception problem and the PPP and the PNC will spin this to their benefit. It will only aggravate the racial problem that already exists in the country.

So, how do the politicians find a working solution where they can cooperate to prevent this country from splitting apart in the middle of this struggle...especially since both sides have not shown any inclination to unite the country?

McCarthyism is the practice of making accusations of subversion or treason without proper regard for evidence.^[1] The term refers to U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy and has its origins in the period in the United States known as the Second Red Scare, lasting roughly from 1947 to 1956 and characterized by heightened political repression as well as a campaign spreading fear of influence on American institutions and of espionage by Soviet agents.

It originated with President Truman's Executive Order 9835 of March 21, 1947, which required that all federal civil service employees be screened for "loyalty." The order specified that one criterion to be used in determining that "reasonable grounds exist for belief that the person involved is disloyal" would be a finding of "membership in, affiliation with or sympathetic association" with any organization determined by the attorney general to be "totalitarian, Fascist, Communist or subversive" or advocating or approving the forceful denial of constitutional rights to other persons or seeking "to alter the form of Government of the United States by unconstitutional means."
