Turnout at PPP public meetings show supporters prepared to confront APNU-AFC with votes come May 11th
PPP public meeting at Blairmont in Berbice
Unlike the last election PPP supporters across the country have recognized the importance of their participation at the upcoming elections and the impact an APNU-AFC victory could have on their lives. This can be evidenced from turn out at several public meetings which normally attract small gatherings. Over the weekend a series of public meetings held across the country by the ruling party attracted sizeable crowds, particularly in traditional strongholds in Berbice.
One meeting at Blairmont which featured President Donald Ramotar attracted quite a large number of persons. Those in attendance at these meetings are attentive and from our observation seem very informed despite being miles away from the capital city and the plethora of misinformation peddled by media houses aligned to the APNU-AFC.
