April 29, 1966. With four weeks to go for Independence, these two friends met and chatted for one hour and a half, about God knows what.

At the flag-raising ceremony to usher Independence Day, these two friends embraced not unlike same-sex partners just legally married.

Once upon a time, these two friends were inseparable. Here they are going abroad to tell the world how the British colonial government nastily suspended British Guiana's Constitution in October 1953.

In 1985 both friends were holding talks behind closed doors to form a Government of National Unity. Alas! that was not to be. One friend passed away unexpectedly.

The other friend passed away almost 12 years later and since then their country was doomed to live unhappily ever after.

Dear comrades and friends, we are here only for a time. Just as we come, we go. Why should we waste our precious minutes and hours in this forum kicking each other's arse, cussing mattie, boiling our own blood, raising our temper and blood pressure, endangering our health and shortening our lives?
