Host association Upper Demerara won for the second time with a 3-1 dismissal of an improving Essequibo Pomeroon side to move atop the points standing as East Bank came from an opening drawn game to register a come from behind to win against East Coast 3-1 as action in Group A of the eight association Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) inaugural GT Beer Inter Association championship continued last Sunday at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground.

Two minutes into the second stanza Primo would get his second goal for a 3-1 advantage. The Essequibo side managed to reduce that with a strike in the 90th plus two minutes after some lapses in concentration on the Linden team’s part and the game ended 3-1 to send the Upper Demerara team to six pints from two wins, while East Bank now have four points to be second ahead of Essequibo who drew with East Coast in their open game and are on one point as are Essequibo.
On Sunday Berbice oppose Bartica and Georgetown face West Demerara at the same venue.
