At least my village is in the news, for good reason.
Congratulations to the Uitvlugt Secondary School drama group. I know the Amsterdam family in Casbah. I suppose the playwright is in that family.
Did Uitvlugt Community Centre have a drama club in the 1960s? I can't recall any. Theatre Guild in Georgetown staged the first play I attended.

I missed out. In 1961-62 I was in the Boy Scouts group there. Henry Ramkeerat was Scoutmaster. I was also a member of the community centre library managed by Bhrigu Persaud.
Coming back to drama, I recall teacher Kishore Jaggernauth (Boiler Brush son) recommended that I should read Sheik Sadeek's play "Namaste".
