The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) has predicted a 4.6 per cent growth rate for Guyana this year, one per cent less than the 5.6 per cent projected by the country, even as it announced that Latin American and Caribbean countries will grow an average of 2.7 per cent due to limited dynamism of the region’s principal economies. The regional United Nations organisation released on Tuesday its “Updated Economic Overview of Latin America and the Caribbean 2013”, which reviews information on the key economic variables of 2013 and presents new growth estimates for the region.

Pavi, looks like you haven't learned a thing from previous discussions on Guyana's GDP growth. So what's up with the bullhorn clichés?

Remittances have tapered off and even declined as US residents and citizens grapple with Obamanomics.  The growth in Guyana will be organic and even Caribj cannot tout the gold story anymore as prices have flattened and declined.

You are too stupid to be believed.

Even if Guyana has higher GDP growth it is one of the  poorest countries in the hemisphere.  It remains so after 22 years of PPP rule.

So pulling out the bubbly looks a bit stupid.

Exports are down.  FDI is down. Imports are up.  Remittances are down.  So tell us where is this growth coming from?  Right now either the PPP is cooking the books or drugs is pushing Guyana.

Are you an "organic" katahar nourished on "bullsh1t"?  The concept of "organic growth" within the context to which I refer has nothing to do with agriculture.

No! We know that's what you are.  Don't be such an overpriced and overrated functional equus asinus.
