This is July. Within next 4 months sanctions will bite. Not to forget, not only the US but also CARICOM, the Commonwealth, OAS and ABCE governments are most likely to impose sanctions too. Slow fyah mo fyah is coming back to haunt the PNC kingpin in APNU+AFC.

There will be no sanctions ,it's all hype by the opposition party and the leaning medias.

The US state department does not have jurisdiction to impose sanctions on Guyana without the approval of the united nations. However, they can impose restrictions on individuals.

They like to do things and then deny them afterward. They failed with Venezuela and they will fail with Guyana.  They were embarrassed by Russia and Ukraine.
