'We have been receiving military support from America'

Russian warplanes carried out two airstrikes Thursday targeting the training camp in Idlib of a Syrian rebel group supported by the CIA, a rebel commander told CNN.

"Our training camp is located in Jabel al Zawia in Idlib and we have been receiving military support from America to help fight Daesh in Aleppo and Idlib," said Hassna Haj Ali, the commander of the northern division of Suqur al Jabal brigade.

The group has been fighting ISIS in northern Syria for over a year.

Ali said no one was killed by the Russian airstrikes.

However, Syrian activist Khdaier Khushfa in Homs told CNN via Skype that 17 civilians had been killed in Talbesieh and 11 others in Zafaraniya by the Russian airstrikes Wednesday, and 46 people had been critically wounded.

"We are very concerned of what will happen next. Civilians I spoke to are very scared," Khushfa said. "It's like after five years since the revolution started we are back to ground zero."

This goes to show how more powerful the Russian bombs and missiles are,and how more scared the terrorists are of Russia instead of the US. In just two days Russia has done more damage to these islamic terrorists than the US has managed to do all year.  Did anyone notice that the Russians used theromobaric missiles? I didn't even know that those things existed. The Russians invented the thermobaric bombs, which the US has since copied. Those things are only surpassed by nuclear bombs. I can see why the jihadists are shitting themselves.

And what exactly were those US actions? From the group of terrorists that the US trained, only four are still alive. Most of the group were captured by ISIS when they crossed the Turkish border into Syria. The Turks had sold them out. All of the weapons that the US had given them ended up in the hand of iSIS. The US has done next to nothing in Syria, except for dropping bombs in the desert once a week and claiming that it would take years to defeat ISIS. The Russians attack those terrorists over just two days and everybody getting scared. Conclusion: the US only claimed to be attacking iSIS. 

Russians are in homs. Isis is on the other side of the country. ISIS as a proxy for the west is typifies you not  as the lunatic fringe but its bleeding heart.

Russians are using old planes and out of date munitions in this campaign. Look at the missiles. They ignite under the planes in a vast glow that had there been intercept capability on the ground they would hit nothing. It looks that their planes will ignite when these things go off. American missiles drop from the planes and then begin their burn.

Both sides have frightening tech that even mid sixties versions can decimate any army on the ground. We should not go about counting  who has more matches when one is standing in a room full of gasoline.

Putin is as usual a backward ass. His support for Assad only prolong  this violence. No one on the ground wants him and he will never be able to reconstitute a nation. This fellow should have left a decade ago.

It seems like Russia is about to wipe out ISIS from the face of earth.

Just saying the celebration is premature. Russia will fail because they have to go all the way to the outskirts of Bhagdad to be successful. It is vast barren wastelands with scattered hostage populations and these have to be protected by some substantial ground policing force for a long while to be free of those reversed humans.

They are upset because Russia is propping up Assad and killing their surrogates fighting against them. Russia can if it cares for the people there, do the right thing and demand he leaves and act with western powers to create a stable government after eradicating ISIS. But that is not Putin's  play. He is more concern with looking big and bold and bad and not about the reality of the people there. He has not offered the fleeing Muslims sanctuary. He can since he is closer to them than Europe.
