Three females bound, faces tied as gunmen invade their Lamaha Park home
Three women, a Prison officer, Medical officer and Nurse who reside in the same home were in the early hours of Monday morning attacked and robbed of their valuables by masked gunmen who invaded their premises.
The criminal act was committed on 46-year-old Phenila Rogers, 50-year-old Olivia Haymer and 23-year-old Donelle Charles, of Lamaha Park, Georgetown.
Based on information received, the women had retired to bed when they heard a strange noise at around 03:00hrs coming from the lower flat of the two storey house.
Charles, who was in her bedroom, went to inspect when she was confronted by three masked men.
They reportedly held her at gunpoint and took her back to the upper flat of the house where the other two women were woken.
This online publication was informed that the women were all bound and their faces tied with jerseys after which they were locked in a room.
One of the gunmen reportedly stood guard, while the others ransacked the house and stole a number of items worth approximately $177,000.
The men then escaped through a eastern door on the lower flat of the house.
Police, when contacted confirmed the robbery and highlighted that an investigation is currently ongoing.
