The MOTP bulletin mentions Kids First Fund [KFF]. I guess it's about that. Through her KFF, Varshnie had saved the lives of dozens of Guyanese kids suffering from heart disorders. KFF had taken those kids all the way to India for treatment. Varshnie had established a good relationship with a specialty hospital there. However, she realized that if Guyana had its own heart-specialty hospital many more poor kids would be treated. The Indian specialists volunteered their services in Guyana pending the building of that hospital.

Varshnie discussed the matter with President Bharrat Jagdeo and asked him for a plot of land to build her dream hospital. Jagdeo refused her request and on top of that ran away with the idea, telling Guyanese that his government planned to build a specialty hospital. KFF did not get the cooperation it had expected from the PPP government.

So, making an educated guess, I think Varshnie and her father visited President Granger for assistance for Kids First Fund. If so, President Granger should show some statesmanship and help KFF. There are many children in Guyana who are suffering from heart issues. Some were born with holes in their hearts and other such deformities.

For some reason, I thought the guys would go this route....but then, some women love to put other women down, especially if said woman is the ex wife of someone you support....interesting coming from an "educated" person

I do see Yugi going the same route

Riff, it's a pity some folks don't remember that Varshnie openly pledged her support for the PPP in the May 11 elections last year. As this pic shows, Varshnie and her dad attended the big PPP rally in Kitty and listened to Bharrat Jagdeo. Many of her admirers were disappointed that she voted PPP after what had happened to her. Now, right here in GNI Political we're witnessing what some PPPites think of Varshnie, how they define her. Sad.

Gil,

Let me put this very bluntly to describe her, Opportunist.

I expect a lot better judgement from you.

It's embarrassing to the party and to the country how she shows up all over the place begging for money.  I am sure she does good work but there are places that provide funding for her programs.  She is losing credibility with her claims against Jagdeo as "her real story" is coming to light a little at a time.

Well Bibi, there are always two sides to every story and we are now seeing her true colours. She has lost all credibility.

I happen to know the other side of the story very well.  But it's not my place to hang out anyone's dirty laundry for everyone to see.  The one thing I will say is that in our party loyalty and faithfulness is a very important thing.  She did not live up to the expectations required of a First Lady.  That said I do wish her well as it is human to err.

Your Benzship, I humbly disagree. An opportunist is someone who seeks advantages for himself/herself.

For the past 16 years Varshnie has been seeking funding not for herself but for emergency medical treatment for poor and needy children in Guyana, regardless of race, religion or political affiliation. Her Kids First Fund has a commendable track record and dozens of poor parents can attest to the positive outcomes of Varshnie's timely intervention.

That's an interesting comment.  I recalled, you were providing details of the  education minister's alleged marital problems for the public consumption.  You did not seem to have an issue with that.  Keep writing you are going to incriminate yourself on your own.

Bibi,
It is indeed sad to read your response.

This is not a PPP or an APNU issue.

She is not begging to  fill her pocket or to live above her standard.
She is soliciting funding for the poor and unfortunate.
She was the poorest first lady and never showed it publicly.
She is a friend!

I think you have the wrong person.  I do not know anything about the education ministers marital problems.  And frankly I don't care.
