You try to sell the story that Indians were given lands while blacks were deprived and now you quibble on the exactness of phrases capture the theme. As I said, it it the context, the text and the subtext. The context is that it is a lie; the text framed in any way sell a tall tale, and the subtext is your usual meme making of woe is the black man perpetually oppressed...and in this instance by Indians being gifted lands deferentially.
Well sorry...we are all in the same poverty mill and whatever advantages that the politicos promise using ethnic appeals to capture the state does not materialize in benefits to the masses...of all peoples. Otherwise our state would not be such a contradiction...bountiful in natural riches yet its people are grindingly poor.
