The Hindu community in Queens have given the reassurance that someone is on their side whenever there are concerns to be addressed. The recent burning of Hindu flags in one section the community is considered a hate crime against Hindus and met with fierce opposition on GNI.

Despite the negative opinions about the rally, it takes many by surprise to see the tremendous support stand In solidarity with the Hindu community. Yes, it make waves on many headlines throughout NYC, by one man's determination to make a difference.

The message here is the tell the public that Hindus shared a common interest with interfaith organizations to be protected from hate crimes, and they will stand together with other religious groups in solidarity in time of their .needs.

It is further noted that Hindus are self reliance and courageous to take their fight to the streets with or without the public support. Hindu rights are protected by the constitution of the United States of America.

Thank you, Vishnu M.

Cobra and Nehru,

Thank you for your support.

I have attached a letter that we received yesterday with regards to our service.

From Sadhana: Coalition of Progressive HindusOn behalf of Sadhana, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did to make the #WeAreOne rally a success. From reaching out to NY1 for pre-rally coverage (which I think made a big impact in attendance), to liaising with some of the elected officials and community figures, to coming early and making sure all was set in place, to making a pledge to catch the perpetrator, I'm really glad to call you an ally in our community. We need more tenacious spirits like you.

Once again, many thanks.

Today at the Lefferts Blvd library is open for registration fodNYC ID for all New Yorkers who haven't yet registered for the municipal ID that is free of charge. I was there today, and endless folks in the community have registered to get their ID's reserved. This will go on for the next two weeks. This is another excellent development by the RHEDC and Vishnu M.

Thank you, Vishnu M

Cobra, I am thinking about getting this ID for my Family.  Do I have to make an appointment?

The ID is for all NYC residents. Since Lefferts Library is small, appointments are necessary. I will check the schedule today and give you an update.
