Give us an update on the elevator at Lefferts Blvd. You did a great job with the tree give-a-way at Smoky Park. What other project/program are you working on for the business community?

Many Guyanese love to talk the talk but Vishnu has been delivering for the Community for over a decade.
Folks
Thank you.
We have pushed for changes within Richmond Hill High School. There is a genuine opportunity for our community to get involved and make a difference with this Turn Around Model.
The new Principal Michael Weinstein has reached out to the community. He has visited the Richmond Hill Guruwara and the Gurukul. He was received with open arms by the leaders of these institutions. We will bring him to others institutions within the next month.
We have also asked all parents with a child in the NYC Public School system to join with us at the Citywide Parent Conference at the Jacob Javits Center on Friday (May 25th).
(more information on this conference is on our website www.RichmondHillEDC.org or on my facebook page "Vishnu Mahadeo")

I am doing the talking, and I am speaking from experience since I have been involved in community organizations and have dedicated my time to the cause. As a senior member in the business I know it all too well about associations with a mission statement that failed our community miserably. I have been critical of the RHEDC for obvious reasons, and I have a right to view my displeasure. I still have disagreements with some issues, they opposed that will be a long-term benefit to the community. However, I see them in a better position to be a working alliance in the community and I wish to let them know that.
RHEDC has launched a massive Voter Registration Drive. We will incorporate all religious, civic, cultural, social, business and educational organizations, forums and events to assist and promote this drive. We will use all social media available. We plan to distribute 20,000 voter forms before 2013.
During the registration and distribution process we will solicit partners to get into the next phase - Get Out The Votes drive.
We are hoping for the support from all on the GNI forum
I hope we will HELP to get Ms Ming Elected to Congress in June in the Special Election.
