Since independence we had LGE in 1970, 1994, and 2016.

Guyanese have never seen local gov't work effectively, so don't understand why its important.

They think that Granger is responsible for garbage collection, drainage and mosquito eradication. 

When the PPP areas bawl out, look to Granger to ask them why don't they blame the PPP folks, who they now seem so proud to support.

What is confusing,let me give a break down in the State [US] where i live,there are Counties with cities and towns each have local government,every cities/township have their own schools,police and provide other services with money generated from tax payers who reside in the cities/towns,they also get some help from the State.

The Politicians of Guyana should come and visit some of States in the US instead to go and party in New York,they would learn how Government works.
