Are we talking about the Black House of Isreal Thugs like Lamumba, Hamilton, Edgehill, Bynoe & Kwame.

Are we talking about strong supporters of the PNC dictator like... Kit Nascimento, Norman Mc Clean, Jerry Gouviea, Ramson,  Eddie Boyer & Manniram.

What has changed?

Because Rodney was not corrupt or Financed by Narco Money.

Rodney was smart, charismatic and a political genius. I saw him the first night he spoke at freedom house. He spoke for a few hours from the back of a cigarette pack. The PPP feared him no less than the PNC did. it was the reason they kept him at a distance even though the reality of the period was Marxist parties coalesce. I doubt they mourned much at  his passing.

Bridging the racial divide is not possible under the present political construct. Even Rodney would not have transcended the ranks of the Indian elites to the peasantry. The latter is ruled by parochial racial sentiments. THat kind of change needs more than  the cult of personality to transcend race. It needs a system geared to race neutral government with  contingent checks and balances to prevent administrative  over reach of office of the type we see as PPP practice.People need to be comfortable in their own skin and to be comfortable with their neighbor and that is not possible in our society under any party.

The most likely scenario for that to be achieved is for it to naturally emerge. The best circumstance for that emergence is for the PPP or the PNC to remain a minority government with a third party holding the balance. Natural attrition will facilitate the necessary introspection of our governing processes via constitution reform to save their asses. Elites only know one thing their advantage in the society. Without constitution reform our society will cannibalize itself and the elites with it.
