Redux doesn't matter.  The PPP is telling its supporters, "hey the AFC is corrupt too, and its not we who say so, its AFC officials who make that claim".

The ploy is to position the election to be a referendum between two corrupt parties.  If they succeed in this then the PPP keeps its base, as people will gravitate to the devil who they know instead of the one who they don't.

I am surprised that the AFC is allowing this story to build without a response.  Is it that the AFC is so arrogant that they don't think that they ought to prove themselves?  89% of the voters didn't think so in 2011.

i am not the AFC . . . so go find some random people who care to bore with your pouting and petulance

my limited exercise here is to shine a spotlight on the 'sellers' posting on GNI

You and I don't like the PPP.  We both wish to see them tossed out of office.  The most that we can do, given that we aren't going to vote, and can at best only give the coalition token support by offering them some cash, is to offer ideas on GNI.  WE do know that people in Guyana do read GNI, even if they don't make comments.

The PPP is trying to muddy the water.

1.  Race card by playing on Indian fears of the PNC.

2.  For those Indians who aren't scared, attempting to prove that the AFC is also corrupt, and so no better than the PPP.

3.  Attempting to confuse blacks by spreading fears that Nagamootoo s trying to take over "their" party.

Ploy 3 isn't going to work.  Ploy 1 will only work with an older and less educated crowd.  The legions of pictures that we have seen with Granger having peaceful conversations with Indians in PPP strongholds shows that not all are motivated by this.

So the PPP moves to ploy 2.  The notion is that if the AFC is as corrupt as is the PPP, what are voters gaining by replacing one corrupt bunch with another?  It is already known that there are doubts that the PNC has the ability to manage the economy, given that what they left in 1992 wasn't in good shape.

So yes it is a ploy, but not one to be trivialized.  Because if the PPP loses the election, it will be because the population is tired of their corruption, arrogance and abusiveness.
