This man was 36 years old, had nine kids and lived in the same apartment for over 25 years.

I find it difficult to think that someone would live in the same apartment for over a quarter of a century. I always regarded an apartment as a temporary living condition. A quarter of a century doesn't seem very temporary.

Nah, the have people live in the same apartments for decades.

I sold a house and now in an apartment..for a while anyway.

Apartment living has given me the freetime I needed even when I was younger fighting to pay my friggin mortgage. I often wondered if the mental stress that sometimes go with home ownership is worth it.

When I decide to get away for a week or two, I just ups and leave my apt and after locking the door, don't care what happens. The grass is cut, heat or cooling is taken care of, snow is cleared,it's all taken care of, not my problem.

In time I will no doubt get back into my own place...a cemetery plot...and sleep forever, ahhhhh.
