An excavator operator is currently a patient at a city hospital after he was shot and robbed yesterday afternoon while on duty at Sussex Street, Albouystown.

 

Stabroek News understands that the man, who has been identified only as Joe, an excavator operator attached to the Ministry of Public Infrastracture was shot once in his leg by his attacker/s, who made good their escape with his cell phone and other valuables.

He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).

The bad guys are bringing the guns over from Brazil. If you see Tarus or Rossi when the Police seize the bad guys guns those are Brazilian guns. Probably smuggled over the border. Prashad thinks that it is some organized criminal network involved in Guyana. They probably get a percentage of the robbery sales for providing the criminals with guns and ammunition.
