Haslington man stabbed during row with girlfriend

A heated argument between a young couple resulted in a 24-year-old man being rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Sunday morning after he was stabbed multiple times to his chest in Haslington.
The injured man was identified as Simeon Lewis, of Haslington North, East Coast Demerara.

Tragedy strikes Sophia family as toddler drowns in drain

Residents of ‘D’ Field Sophia were thrown into deep mourning yesterday upon hearing the news that one of their youngest members had drowned.
The victim was 14-month-old Dequan Harris who drowned while attempting to cross a plank that serves as a bridge across the drain in front of his home.

Tragedy strike in different ways. Who is to blame? 

This sadly remains one of the signal failures of the Jagdeo administration and one in which the combined opposition with its gifted one-seat majority is no doubt attempting to reverse.

I would not doubt that the AFC/PNC had a hand in these tragedies.
