  • A scandal-free White House (think of the Bush and Clinton Presidencies riddled with scandals) and the hope that Trump follows the laws of this country.
  • Low unemployment (the abstentions from the job-seeking pool is higher than historically, but this is the new normal).
  • A Stock market that has grown steadily.
  • Cheap gasoline, a housing market back on solid ground and a banking industry with some oversight.
  • Strong international alliances.
  • A Republican Congress and Senate that wants Trump to follow their Agenda - some major items of which may be antithetical to Trump" like privatizing Medicare.
  • Republican Governors who may finally make Obamacare work, though if you remove the individual mandate (which provides market equilibrium) you'll have to increase subsidies to the poor (more government spending). They may make State Exchanges possible (something they denied Obama) and Congress may finally spend the insurance shortfall that they denied Obama thus making them pull out and increasing premiums.
  • A healthy oil and gas industry and promising green energy sector.
  • An ISIS on the run - no oil money, no land to prance around, no money to finance their jihadists.
  • A Netanyahu to deal with who is fighting his extermists to drop the two-State solution.
  • A challenge to keep his promise to bring manufacturing jobs back to the parts of America he fooled.
  • An America respected by the rest of the world (terrorists not included) following the dis we got under Bush.
  • Footsteps of decency and class that presents a challenge for Trump to follow.

Baseman is in pure panic.  He didn't know why he voted for Trump so cannot assess with Trump is betraying him or not.

It is evident that Trump is out of his depth. He hasn't even started and there is so much confusion and contradiction.

In the meantime a large % of the 53% who REJECTED him watch in angst to see if this pilot knows how to fly.  Or will he turn over the country to mad hatter lunatics like Bolton, Gingrich, Bannon, and Giuliani.  This while his kids engage in conflict of interest as they serve as advisors to Trump while simultaneously running his company.

Nice list there kari. I would add saving the country from the worst financial disaster that he inherited from Baseman's hero Bush.

Actually, very disappointed in Baseman's response invoking the PNC and PPP in a bizarre way into a discussion of American politics. I guess it is a cop out.

Black Lives Matter and other civic and political organizations still complain that 8 years of OBAMA did not improve the quality of life for the majority of African Americans. The number of blacks in killed by gun violence in Chicago is mind boggling.  Obama is having difficulty dealing with his people on issue of racism and job opportunities.

Really.  The only presidents in recent times which saw more job creation during their terms were Clinton and Reagan.

Why don't you discuss the economy that Bush left.  Its really interesting that the GOP NEVER want to chat about what this country was like in January 2009.

The US economy has OUTPERFORMED those of other nations, aside from those in Asia.

You are deluding yourself, baseman in full relax mode!  Trump is doing a great job thus far.  I will give him much more time before I judge if he is meeting expectations.  And I am perfectly aware he cannot achieve everything he set out or not fully on all.

Trump understands what got him elected and he will ensure he address some of the points!  Trump values loyalty and he will be loyal to those who elected him!

People like Kari are untrustworthy. They ALL lack integrity. I would not touch such individuals with a 100 yard Pole. They back the SICK, INHUMAN, DUMB, IGNORANT and ILLITERATE PNC but has a problem with Trump!!!!!  Frig man get a bloody life!!!!

Nehru, you are correct, and include the "brain thrust" Barthead VVP in that club of "deplorables"!

1.  Trump will cut taxes, reducing revenues for the government.

2. Trump plans to spend more money.

3. Trump plans to do all of the things that Bush did.

The deficit will balloon under Trump.

Now let us look at the job markets. Lay offs are at record lows. There have been a net increase of 10 million jobs under Obama.

Bibi please discuss where the USA was the last time we had a GOP president. And by the way it wasn't Reagan.

Baseman what has Trump done so far?  This shows that you are a brainwashed idiot.   The man has yet to do anything. He is struggling even to assemble his team.  There is inflighting, even within his transition team.

We see his kids, including his son-in-law integrally involved as advisors, even though there is no discussion of the conflict of interest that this poses. And it is evident that this isn't transitional either.

Then we have the Angry White Men, Bolt, Giuliani, and Gingrich, and of course the white supremacist Bannon.

Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan, and leader of the 3rd largest economy, has come to warn Trump about what his rhetoric is doing.  Rather than insisting that the Trans Pacific Treaty be re-worked to protect their interests of US workers (and maybe even Japanese workers, who are also high cost) he wants to dump it, or isn't telling people what his plans are.

The main goal of this treaty was to fence in China, which was specifically EXCLUDED from this.

But what is now happening. China is busily building its own pan Asian alliance, which might even include Australia. SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDING the USA.

So China will then be the dominant Pacific nation. NOT the USA. So what influence will the USA have over this very important region.

Baseman do you know that this alliance of China, Japan, and the Asian Tigers DWARFS the US economy?

Good going Mr. Trump. You will fast reduce the USA to the same level of irrelevance as Brexit landed the UK into!

So far Trump hasn't done anything because He becomes president on January 20, 2017.  I think his first order of business should be to fire that Hindu lady CEO at Pepsi and that Muslim guy CEO from Coca Cola who made over $US 50 million between them so far in 2016.

Those two salaries alone should feed the illegals who are living on food stamps in America.

Bibi is having a mental breakdown.  How can Trump fire the CEO of one the most powerful Fortune 500 companies? Especially when he is on record for hating women (who aren't blond), non whites and foreigners?

And Bibi why don't you furnish proof that illegal entrants get food stamps?  They cannot because to do so will expose them to the Federal gov't, resulting in their deportation. Obama deported MORE of them than any other president.
