Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday made it clear to his party and allies that the government felt the people were supporting its demonetisation move. As the government refused to consider a rollback, a report say currency normalisation may take four months, and not 50 days as the government claims.
That may take a huge toll on people given there have already been 25 deaths due to demonetisation in just 6 days. These are just the reported deaths, the real number could be more.
Rass Indians gat plenty money
is that what you got from the article?
Yes Riff among other things.
Also, change is always difficult.

The Government is unfair. Many Poor people saved their money in large notes. The crooks he is after has the ability to absorb the loss of cash poor people do not. The banks should have been advised to offer fair exchange over a finite duration while holding up large exchanges pending tax clarification. Rich people also need their money if they paid their taxes. India always seem to do things in brute force ways

As usual, in you buffoon nature, you open you mouth and spout nonsense without understanding the matter. In fact people were informed 3 months back to put their cash into banks to avoid this very issue.
The issue India is trying to address is unreported Income. I met a businessman when I lived there. He lived in a well guarded home and an entire room was filled with boxes and boxes of cash, all unreported income!
The actions of the Indian Govt are not irrational, they know exactly what they are doing!
I wonder if Prashad has read any of this this yet? This is what would go down on his piece ah Indiaesh land.
I'm wondering what my Jai Hind friend yuji22 thinks about Modi's money moves.
Ah don't sweat it. 45 died and they are still left with a population of over 1 billion. Modi's salary is US$ 30,000 compared to Granger's US$200,000 and he is running one of the largest economies in the world. That should be more of a concern to y'all.
Backball, wine and go down, free food and rum YES.. WUK NO NO NO!!!

Read the report. The people could not get the banks to accept the notes. The bank should accept it until it is all gone.

I don't have to read any report, I know firsthand based on my coworkers who know much more than a dollar store clerk about the matter as they are from India.
