Two years jail for engaging in sexual activity with child

A man was yesterday sentenced to two years in jail, after he was found guilty of engaging in sexual activity with a seven-year-old.

Anansuarudin Khan, was on trial before Magistrate Judy Latchman, for a charge which alleged that he engaged in sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.

At the conclusion of the matter which was held in camera, Khan was sentenced to two years in jail for the offence.

I saw this article,the punishment is meager.That's Guyana the Magistrates and Judges don't seem to use proper sentencing.
