APNU/AFC Councillor slapped with DUI charge

Region Two (Pomeroon- Supenaam) Regional Democratic Council member Hardat Narine was on Tuesday taken before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

The 48-year-old A Partnership for National Unity/Alliance For Change (APNU/AFC) Councillor pleaded guilty to the charge which stated that on September 30, 2016, he was found driving under the influence of alcohol.

After pleading guilty, he was fined $7500.

In June, Narine was charged for dangerous driving and failing to comply with Police direction. He was granted $10,000 bail for the dangerous driving charge and released on his own recognizance for the other two charges.

BTW, was this AFC chap The Bukta Man who once stripped naked and wrongfully accused the police of stripping him ?

If so, this chap should be locked firmly behind bars, the police now has the last laugh.

These AFC drunkards are a disgrace to Guyanese.

He has no Bukta left.

Actually no. When the PPP minister drove drunk and hit some one he wasn't punished. He drove drunk, hit some one, fled the scene, and there was no punishment.

These people were even though there were no injuries.
