As opposed to arrival day of Indians, Portugees, etc? Arrival day is a memory of the past. Cain is in Canada enjoying a big spliff while foreign embassies in Guyana are packed with Guyanese who want to exit so badly. Departure day deserves a special day of celebration because Guyanese are aiming for a brighter future away from Guyana.

What are we missing here?

Since Guyanese migration started over fifty years ago, Guyana has been struggling to maintain a steady population of 750,000. The same amount is scattered all over the world like bird droppings.

Guyana is not growing population wise, instead, it's decreasing. We would have to depend on the Douglas and Venezuelans to shift the population balance to one million in the next three decades.

Nehru and GTangler, you are off topic too early.
