You see, Mr Ed didn't just jump on Mr Mahadeo by himself, he got his bais to join in. Sometimes people do something and don't want the contributions of others. Others do it so that their business, etc is publicized and not really out of the goodness of their heart. You see all that money is just written off as tax expense. These guys want to see their names up in the lights cause when they come to you for votes, to sell a product ... etc, you better give them your support.

These are all shrewd businessmen. They do nothing for free. Do you think that check Mr Ed gave to President Jagdeo for $10,000 was for free. Look for him to acquire some land in Guyana soon and open up some kind of resort or business with special priviledges. Afterall he is in the Real Estate business.

Several people were asked to pay $100/person to attend the "Ed's Party". All the Press was showing after the event was $10,000 donate by Mr Ed.
Reality - The attendees paid for the party and help to subsidize the $10,000 but all the credit went to Mr Ed. ( LEADERSHIP)
