As most of you may already know, there appear to be an upsurge in gun related crimes in the Republic. Criminals these days, take their time when carrying out these brazen acts; and why not. They're fully aware that the cops won't respond and when or if they do, it's only to take statements. Take the case of the recent shootings at Cornbread on D'urban St. for example. If the newspaper article is correct, someone tried to call 911 but the phone rang out. then it was further said that 'them boys' had a problem staring their motor bike while the two victims lay bleeding on the ground. In my view, this was more than enough time for the GPF to respond. The GPF needs to get their act together and quickly and adopt proper crime fighting procedures or innocent people as always will suffer.
