Wikileaks exposes real Glenn Lall

Glen Lall
Most businessmen had to circumnavigate some precarious paths to reach the heights they did. Some did it ethically; but many did many clandestine things to achieve their millionaire status. Today, some borderline and even real criminals are pointing fingers at others.
From selling shoes out of suitcases, Glenn Lall has become one of the richest men in Guyana, and the Wikileaks expose is linking him to back-tracking, using devious ploys against other businessmen; for instance, linking “Buddy” Shivraj and other businessmen to the drug trade in attempts to either divert international attention and scrutiny away from himself and establish his credentials as an ethical person with the diplomatic and other influential bodies so that he does not come under their radar as a person of interest.
He is still destroying business rivals - either his or those of his advertisers for gain, albeit in a public way through his print medium, which the US official Benjamin Canavan described as a “muckraking newspaper.”
Also, it has been proven in the past that diplomats were quite willing to join with Guyanese backtrackers through profit-sharing initiatives. Some have been caught, while others went on to become multi-millionaires.
Recently Kaieteur News, which goes on a rampage accusing others of corruption, was caught blatantly stealing electricity from GPL.
The genesis of Kaieteur News is the “Kaieteur Weekend World”, started by Shaun Samaroo, John Ali of Canada, with Glenn Lall being a junior partner.
Samaroo had mortgaged his father’s house to invest in the newspaper, and it would add to the real picture of Glenn Lall as exposed by Wikileaks if Samaroo would expose the truth of how he nearly lost his father’s house and the way Lall wrested sole ownership of the paper from the partners.
However, Samaroo is today a supporter of the opposition and bitterly opposed to the PPP/C administration. He currently writes a column in the Stabroek News, where he began his journalistic career.
Kaieteur News supports the party he supports, so it is highly unlikely that he will see it fit to expose the real face of Glenn Lall at this point.
However, regardless of whether the Guyanese who know the real Glenn Lall choose to expose him, Canavan has done so by stating unequivocally that he has a sketchy past; has a rumoured involvement in alien smuggling, has links to the underworld; and that he runs a muckraking newspaper.
