PM says former gov’t illicitly transferred $500m to NCN, GINA

“I am stunned, I have just seen a document where purportedly the former government transferred almost $500M to NCN and GINA and in all the reports I have for a certain period I am still trying to figure out where this money gone,” Nagamootoo stated during the post cabinet briefing at the Ministry of the Presidency.

The Prime Minister who is also the Minister of Information said that NCN was a government entity that was in need of fine-tooth scrutiny.

as he alluded to findings in the still to be public NCN Parmesar report into financial irregularities which implicated top officials at the state broadcaster in 2012.

Nagamootoo also addressed his Office’s most recent troubles with definitively pronouncing on the millions worth of uplink equipment found in an NCN storeroom a few weeks ago.

“This is one entity that needs a lot of scrutiny, needs a big brush to clean it up,” the Prime Minister stated.

Nehru a TV station can pay for it's operation from the Income from Advertising.

There are over 20 TV stations and newspaper in Guyana besides NCN and GINA....

and none of them need a penny from Govt to stay in business and make a profit.

But what you expect when Fuzzie was stealing the Advertising Revenue and putting it in Private Accounts.

The NCN Board Fire Fuzzie when Jagdeo was out the country....as soon as Jagdeo return he hire the thief back....and override the Board.

Ramotar ordered a full Investigation into the GT&T Ad Scandal....

but Ramotar duck the Report because it would expose the thiefing in the PPP......Whenever the Media asked him about this....he keep saying "I haven't Read the Report as Yet"

the CEO of GT&T Yougi Raj was not involved in this PPP Fraud but Yougi Raj immediately resigned because it happened on his watch.
