Ever thought that maybe the President and the Leader of the Opposition might just be meeting to discuss issues of importance to Guyana.

How fractured is our system of governance when the man who has de facto control of the parliament shouldn't occasional meet with the our who has full control over the executive arm of the gov't.

Well if it is official business, then they have a responsibility to tell the nation.  NO to secret talks!

They have the obligation to tell the nation when they have something to say.  What ever the conversation is you bet it hasn't advanced to any substantial stage.  Guyana is like Israel/Palestine and so most negotiations end up no where.

Strategically, Guyana will be best served with a PPP/PNC unity Govt.

What do we have to gain by a doubling up on the elite friends and family paradigm? The PPP and the PNC is adversarial roles suits us best until the constitution is changed. The PPP as the grease to the wheels may be new but it is better than an elected dictatorship that is the PPP with a majority.
