Former Queenβs College teacher, overseas based Kwabenna Wright recently presented a quantity of balls to AL Sport & Tour Promotions (ASTP) which will be used to promote Windball cricket & Circle Tennis within schools.
In his brief remarks, Wright reminded them that sports and education must work hand in hand and heβs always happy to return home to see the good work of having student being involved in these programs.
He recalled that over the year when the ASTP would have taken student to camps in region three, places like Sand Hill, Sata Mission, Leguan and Wakenaam, region #7 Bartica, region #6 Corriverton students were given the opportunity to interact with fellow students from these areas which will help to build camaraderie.
He also extended gratitude to the parents for their continued support of these programmes, and was happy to see Katie Ann Punch, a former student being involved. He urged organiser Alistair Munroe to keep up the good works by Godβs Grace.
Participant Donna Lowe thanked Sir Wright for his input.
