KrishanB, I remember this boat transaction. It was the afc/pnc agents in the GDG that bought the boat, not the PPP. These are independent agencies that are given a budget and they squander it.

Every body plus your mama knows that the PPP micro manages everything. One cannot build a village bridge across a drainage trench without the ministry approving. This is indeed an illustration of who they are if the story line is true that they bought this boat and resold it for a third its value.

In the first place, that the boat does not work is silly. That looks like it has outboard motors controlled by a panel up front with connected to a replaceable harness any auto repair person can figure out in a minute. Outboard motors are not difficult to repair. If on board engine then the same apply with minor difficulty.Why the boat did not work may be an excuse to resell it cheaply

I know your Howard education prevents you from proper comprehension. Read my comments, the GDF was given a budget via parliament and the PNC/AFC operatives squandered it on a boat. There is no obligation to consult the PPP in purchase orders, the defense department is free to spend as it deems appropriate. It is an independent entity. Notice how the PNC/AFC stay quiet in parliament as they continue to vote for large budgets for the defense sector despite this wanton squandering of the tax payers dollars by their operatives.

Wanton spending of tax payer dollars is the PPP renting 7 multi million power plants over a year for 90 percent of their cost. Wanton spending is accepting delivery of a quarter of a billion derelict sugar mill, wanton spending is taking 25 million from sale of the nation assets and put it into a casino ( costing in total 54 million) and planning to give it completely to any ( definitely from among the list of well known cronys) who can come up with 8 million. Wanton spending if giving 800K to buddy and say he does not have to re pay it because the nation can use the services of his hotel ( I would like to see they guest list here).

Dummy, your limited exposure to governmental systems is due to your Howard education.  Not because you only know about running a dollar store means there are no financial protocols in govt. The way it works is that parliament produces a budget and allocates a certain percentage to specific departments in the different government sectors. Each department needs no further parliamentary or ministerial approval for purchases. Purchases would only be flagged in audit and in this case, it would be classified as an unfortunate purchase by the afc/pnc agent. Were it a PPP supporter who made the purchase, mo fiah and slow fiah would have ensued.

That boat if it was bought and sold as stated was not bought and sold outside government agencies involved in purchasing. Your dollar store experience led you to this conclusion? Check again, the army has its own military purchasing agent who bought this boat devoid of govt interference. Why is it so difficult to acknowledge that the afc/pnc agents in the army are incompetent and out of control? After all they had a long history of incompetency over the 27 years in power under the PNC when they ran the nation into the ground.

The competency or not of the army is not in question here. Their buying and selling of a boat ( the truth of which I do not yet not know) is.

My contention is that if such a boat was procured and later resold it was by an agent of the PPP and not anyone else.

Those kind of boats are used for drugs running between the Caribbean islands and Miami. Maybe the PPP had something in mind.

We must not be afraid to say openly that the PPP has been officially involved in thuggery.  If this boat had worked, it would have helped the thugs to move the cocaine.  So it is a good thing it did not work.
