Mits. It all depends on your definition of Pride. If people do not take pride in what they do, this world will be a sad place.
As per Vedic scriptures we all have our allotted share of wealth based on past Karma.
Some will choose to agree or disagree, it is their right.
Yugi, it also means: unreasonable conceit of one's own superiority in talents, beauty, wealth (daulat) caste or rank.
The poet is saying: Do not become entangled in the practice of âprideâ and âconceitâ. This is false. Your pomp is only pseudo.
Here are the lyrics and translation:
Mat kar too abhimaan re bande, Jhoothee teree shaan re
Do not become entangled in the practice of âprideâ and âconceitâ. This is false. Your pomp is only pseudo
Tere jaise laakho aaye, Laakho is maatee ne khaaye
Rahaa naa naam nishaan re bande
Like you, thousands have come before and exhibited this kind of behavior and all of them have eventually taken a place in the clay or cremated. There is no sign of their presense anymore.
Jhoothee maayaa jhoothee kaayaa, Vo teraa jo Hari gun gaayaa
Japle Hari kaa Namm re bande
The âMaayaaâ is false so is this âbodyâ. Those who sing the praises of God understand ârealityâ. Without any delay, letâs chant the name of the Lord.
Tere paas hai heere mote, Mere man mandir me jyoti
Kaun huwaa dhanwaan re bande

Enjoy!
