my take would be that at least every decade had at least 5 top movies that are memorable...
some of the golden oldies were great; as Jis desh mein Ganga behti hai, Nagin, Ganga Jumna-film in Bihar w/Bhojpuri, Rani Roopmati, Bhabhi, Kohinoor,Aan,Aah,Barsaat,,,,
but my fave of all times:
Mother India - dharti songs
Sanyasi-one special song
Pakeeza-all songs
Kabhi Kabhi, title song
Ek duje ke liya-tere mere beech mein
too many movies wid too much heart songs.. strongman

You have brought on a smile RQ, my type of films.

Vijyanthimala was so good in Nagin and the songs, well that was something else.
.

asj..everytime I hit the movie stores...i have to get a few golden oldies with the other decades of '50s,'60s'70s,'80s,'90s B/W - Beti Bete, Choti Bahen, Hariyali our Rasta, Himalay ki Goed mein, Junglee, Mere Sanam, Professor, Bluff Master,April Fool,Pyar ka Mousam, Shagird,Evening in Paris, Night in London, Love in Tokyo,Jab pyar kisi hota hai, Jab yaad kissi aate hai, jab jab phool khili, all those Kapoors starrers w/fab beauties as Nargis,Vyjanti,Nanda,Waheeda,Saira,Sadhana,

then the mill last...do not care for these modern crap..too much skin and no talents... Smile
