It was in a talent hunt show conducted on Zee TV, TVS Sa Re Ga Ma, that conferred her, her first stand. Being a perpetual contestant and winner of several episodes, she was selected for the 75th Children's special episode. Victory led her to children's megal final in 1996. She was then only 12 years old.
