When a Guyanese woman marries a Whiteman, it would be for various reasons. First, we don't have laws to restrict women from marrying another race, and it's her choice. It used to be a tradition that is slowly fading. Second, it's for security vs the wayward behavior of Guyanese men and their drinking. Third, white men are seen as a superior race than the locals. Lastly, women are too pre-occupied with their own means that they forget about their brothers and father that are Indian.
