Visual Grandeur

It’s easy to define Baahubali’s enormousness for it introduced what no other cinematic product in the country did. A grand visual diaspora on celluloid! Shot in large croma sets that got graphically redesigned and made for the most epically seen scenic frames, Baahubali’s biggest strength was its visual effectiveness. It was almost at par with a lot of Hollywood biggies and gave an impression of being an experience rather than a movie.

Rajamouli’s Vision

At no point would this come as an overstatement that Baahubali became possible courtesy of SS Rajamouli’s fearless vision. It needed someone like him who despite being a regional filmmaker didn’t bother about the economics and dared to bring his vision on screen. Having worked on brilliant big screen creations like Magadheera and Eega, Rajamouli worked as hard as he could and brought this dream of his into reality.

The Most Apt Star-Cast

These kind of films demand the most appropriate star cast. Any minute error in the casting can make your loaded character appear to be miscast and there goes your element of creating history. However, Baahubali was pitch perfect in terms of its cast. From Prabhas as film’s lead to Rana Daggubati as the antagonist, the film saw the most aptly chosen actors. Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Nassar all made for a collective bunch of actors that brought this grand project to life.

The Biggest War Sequence

If you have previously seen Rajamouli’s Magadheera starring Ram Charan, you’d know how seasoned a campaigner he is when it comes to handling these massive war scenes. Baahubali’s major portion of the script was this huge war sequence that occupied almost 40 minutes of the film. How brilliantly were these sequences treated, was absolutely wonderful. Engaging to the core, the war element in Baahubali lifted its overall appeal some notches higher.

The SAGA in True Sense

No Indian cinematic sequel has made the audience wait for it with so much anxiety. Why Katappa killed Baahubali is a question that everybody wants to know the answer of. The shooting progression of this sequel is being closely monitored by all sections of media and fans and the sequel has garnered enough buzz than most biggies struggle to win despite spending so much of money. Baahubali has truly lived up to the format of sagas and has emerged as the most epic Indian saga ever.

While we wait in anticipation for Baahubali: The Conclusion in 2017, there is nothing that Baahubali: The Beginning hasn’t lived up to. Before we brace ourselves for the next part of this hugely anticipated series, we thank Mr. Rajamouli for having crafted this epic historical fiction drama that has truly made us proud as Indians.
