Going through a rather dark streak of flop films back then, Wanted came as a rescuer for Salman. While most of his big budgeted films like Yuvraaj, God Tussi Great Ho, Marigold suffered disastrous box office results, the success of Wanted was like a lifeboat amid the heavy tides in an ocean. The film was the second biggest hit of the year after 3 Idiots and its highly entertaining quotient made sure Salman stayed in the game.

Made Him Truly Discover Himself

There’s no denying that Salman discovered his true element and audience through this film. The choices that he made post Wanted clearly saw a pattern that always had traces of Wanted’s brand of action and ‘Bhaigiri.’ Every film that he’s been a part of since 2010 has seen him kicking asses through a style that he clearly took out of Wanted. Even the dialogues that are specially written for him are an outcome of what we saw in Wanted.

Grew A Crazy Heavy Fan Base

Salman Bhai Khan! How do you think Salman is so widely known to have made this as a brand? It is because of his fan who probably went into sleeping mode until Wanted woke them up. The crazy following that grew manifold was only a result of Wanted’s success and Salman knows that pretty clearly. Each of his cinematic action looks to be a carefully executed move only to entice his fans all around the globe.

Made Way For His Gigantic Superstardom

It was Wanted that made way for more such films that cemented Salman’s crazy stardom in retrospect. With a spree of blockbusters lined up as Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PRDP and Sultan, the gateway of it only opened through Wanted. Salman never really looked back post a thumping victory that Wanted made him experience.

Made Him A One Man Entity

While producers/directors/writers need all sort of elements to package a film in all prospects, Wanted made Salman Khan a one man entity in himself. Of course the contribution of Prakash Raj as villain in the film did a lot of good, but people understood that Salman didn’t need anybody else to deliver super hits. If it’s a film starring Salman Khan, it’s a Salman Khan film hands down!

With a moderately priced film that came out in 2009, who would have thought it will recreate the methods of crazy fan following and star stature that can make monumental sound like a very minor word. All of it through one film – Ek Bar Jo Maine Commitment Kar Di, Toh Phir Main Khud Ki Bhi Nahi Sunta!
