3. Nargis Dutt

A Muslim, Nargis fell in love with Sunil Dutt, a Hindu. A fearless Nargis went ahead and accepted Hindu religion in order to marry Dutt. Her new Hindi name was Nirmala Dutt.

4. Nagma

Better known for her work in the South Indian film industry, Nagma changed her faith to Christianity, as she was an ardent Jesus Christ devotee. 

5. Amrita Singh

Amrita Singh, a Sikh, converted to Islam so as to get married to Saif Ali Khan, a Muslim. Though Khan’s family was against the relationship, the two got married and remained together for 13 years before getting divorced. Saif is now married to Kareena Kapoor, who refused to change her religion before tying the knot.

6. Ayesha Takia

Born to a Hindu father and an Anglo-Indian mother, Ayesha fell for a Muslim, Farhan Azmi, a businessman. Though the actress has never publicly acknowledged that she converted to Islam to marry her beau, it was widely reported that she did.
